Child in Mind Psychological Services was founded by two licensed school psychologists, Hannah Jones and Beth Wruble. At Child in Mind Psychological Services, our mission is to help children and their families. Our favorite thing about working with children is learning their strengths, in order to promote those regardless of what they may be facing. All of our evaluators have many years of experience within the Palm Beach County School District as well as the private sector.

Marissa DePasquale is a nationally certified School Psychologist with experience working in the public school setting across multiple grade levels. She was born and raised in Jupiter, Florida, and developed an early passion for working with youth and promoting their well-being. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Family and Child Sciences from Florida State University. During her college years, Marissa served as a Guardian ad Litem and Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer in Tallahassee, where she advocated for abused and neglected children in legal and care settings, and collaborated with caseworkers, foster families, and attorneys to ensure each child’s needs were met and their voices were heard.
Marissa continued her education at the University of South Florida, where she obtained both her Master’s and Specialist degrees in School Psychology. While completing her graduate training, she co-facilitated parenting courses for families raising young children with autism and developmental delays, and partnered closely with schools to deliver class-wide and small-group positive psychology interventions for students. She also trained teachers in self-contained classrooms to implement an evidence-based strategy for improving student behavior. In addition, she contributed to a federally funded research grant focused on enhancing students’ coping skills and academic success in Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate programs. She has presented her research at both state and national conferences, sharing insights on evidence-based practices and interventions in school psychology.
Marissa is passionate about supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional growth, and empowering families and students through evidence-based practices and collaborative partnerships.
